About

About

With her dark, folkloric electro-pop sound, Aylin Leclaire invites us on ourneys through other worlds and dimensions. The German-Turkish musician blends intricate beats with her virtuosic voice to tell emotionally charged stories where personal experiences intertwine with otherworldly poetry.

Her live performances merge sophisticated stage design with high-concept artistic expression, creating total works of art that reflect her interdisciplinary practice. Her debut album, Sculptural Rituals, traces the deeply intimate and emotional cycles of artistic creation.

In 2025, she joined the music label 99rockets records, where she released the protest track „Quallen gegen Rechts“– an electro-driven, queer-feminist anthem against fascism.

Alongside upcoming side projects like the jellyfish-inspired collaboration Terz und Tentakel with Verena Meis and the Jellyfish Institute Düsseldorf, a new solo EP is already on the horizon.

In her interdisciplinary works, Leclaire constructs narratives that examine power structures and human interaction. She uses a wide range of materials and media to explore the political, emotional, and spatial dimensions of existence.

A holistic approach is a constant in her practice. Sound and music often play a central role, drawing audiences fully into the worlds, stories, and situations she creates. Her work doesn’t just focus on the interaction within the piece or between the work and the viewer — it also emerges from collaboration. Working with other artists, she fosters exchange between different methods and perspectives, turning process into a shared space of creation.

Aylin Leclaire enjoys provoking thought — always with a sense of humour — challenging both participants and audiences while making them an active part of her work.

In 2019, she graduated from the Düsseldorf Art Academy as a master student of Martin Gostner. She also studied at the Sandberg Instituut in Amsterdam, in the Master of Voice program.

She currently lives and works in Düsseldorf
